Lancashire Event Videography

WET WET WET….

Youtube Version

The Boys & Girls from All Hallows High School & Bernstorff-Gymnasium braved the elements for a friendly game to commemorate the 1914 football match played by the English & German soldiers.

The match was held at Bamber Bridge Football Ground and was organised by South Ribble Borough Council with the help of Baxi Co Ltd, The Royal British Legion & Armed Forces, Chorley Building Society, Leyland Round Table, Townsend Print, Stuart Clewlow and the Creative Network.

Thank you to Louisa Stirland for an amazing performance of Silent Night (watch out for this young lady, she’s gonna be big)

Our Lives: Highlights from the WW1 documentary in Leyland.

Nigel from The Creative Network & Howerd from South Ribble Borough Council had an idea for a documentary about South Ribbles involvement in World War 1…

They had a team of song writers, artists, filmmakers, editors and many more to help produce an original and moving short film about Leylands story during the war. My job was to film the interviews which included Molly & Maggie, 2 sisters who are 100 & 104 years old!

I also filmed this short highlights clip of the evening which took place at St Andrews Church, a fantastic event for the town and from what i have heard, this isn’t the last of this sort of thing 🙂

80’s Disco: Katy Holmes Trust

I popped along to the 80’s disco last night to capture some of the fun and raise a bit of money for the Katy Holmes Trust.

The props case proved as popular as ever at these sort of events, it’s quite funny to see grown men waving lightsabres around whilst wearing pink wigs…

Or even a hybrid YMCA-Frankie creation!

Purple Pig provided the catering and we both had the pleasure of judging the best fancy dress, Adam Ant and Beetlejuice if you were wondering.

CLBE 2013: Lancashire Business Event Videography.

I was asked again to cover the Central Lancashire Business Event which is a free networking event hosted by South Ribble, Chorley, Preston Council & Events Northern. This years event took place at Chorley Town Hall and the guest speakers were Ray O’Connor from Reach Further, Andy Chemney from Ignition CBS Ltd and Mike Ode from Potential Unearthed.

As usual, i attend these events hoping to meet new contacts but always find myself too busy (i somehow manage to find time for the buffet though).

It was a great event and well worth checking out for next year if you are looking at business advice or you generally want to network.

You can find the link for last years event here.

Leyland Live 2013

The Creative Network returned to Leyland for 1 scorching weekend of live entertainment!

Nigel (never out of the papers) Stewart put together a great line up in the pubs, clubs, restaurants and on the streets of Leyland….

I had the very easy duty of documenting a few of the highlights over the 2 days, The Street Monkeys (hope they have good insurance) could be seen jumping off walls at Peek-a-Brew, Ryan & Tom really got the crowds going in The Railway & The Gables on Saturday Night, James Christy entertained the crowds outside Peppermint Cottage and that was just a very small percentage of what happened that weekend.

Chorley Live is coming in October and Nigel tells me there will be a lot more after that!

Thanks for reading 🙂 RTP
