August 2015 (a bit of this and a bit of that)

As my bloodshot eyes are busy editing weddings during the silly summer season, i thought i would take a quick break for a few updates on what has been happening in  the world of RTP 🙂

In July, i turned the grand old age of 40 (i have been told it is the new 30) and here are a few images from the photobooth i set up at my Birthday Bash.

Last month i updated my kit-bag with a brand spanking new camera, after much research and countless hours debating what camera would be best for my needs i decided on the Canon C100 MKii and after taking it out on its first shoot (video below) i can honestly say that i made the right choice 🙂

Here is the my latest VideoBlog which i send out to future Brides who have booked me for their weddings.

Previous episodes are available here

After working with Robin at Dancefloor Couture recently, he asked if i could put together a quick promo using footage i have filmed at their weddings and here it is…

Once again i have been working with the guys at Forbo & Wrennalls to produce a series of videos explaining the approved cleaning methods for their floorings (here is one example below)

Here are a few behind the scenes images from our last shoot

I have also been working with Quantum recently after being recommended by Forbo and together we are currently creating a series of  instructional videos for their website, here is an example….

As of writing this blog i have 5 weddings which have been filmed and ready for editing and a lot more to film before the end of the year. I have just filmed the first half of a Grand Design style project, various Headshot projects, Event & Promotional videos which i will hopefully share at a later date 🙂

Football Remembers – The 1914 Christmas Truce

Lancashire Event Videography

WET WET WET….

Youtube Version

The Boys & Girls from All Hallows High School & Bernstorff-Gymnasium braved the elements for a friendly game to commemorate the 1914 football match played by the English & German soldiers.

The match was held at Bamber Bridge Football Ground and was organised by South Ribble Borough Council with the help of Baxi Co Ltd, The Royal British Legion & Armed Forces, Chorley Building Society, Leyland Round Table, Townsend Print, Stuart Clewlow and the Creative Network.

Thank you to Louisa Stirland for an amazing performance of Silent Night (watch out for this young lady, she’s gonna be big)

Creating Possibilities in the School Led System

Event Videography in Manchester

Events Northern certainly kept me busy during October, thank you Becki Cross and her team 🙂

I arrived nice and early to get myself all setup for a very busy day of recording the presentations, workshops, interviews and the debate which was headed by Andy Crane.

It was great working with everyone from The National College of Teaching, Prestolee and also Andy Whitehead who was on photography duties for the day.

A terrific first event for everyone involved and a great pleasure for me to be involved with!

The rest of the videos we produced can be found here.

Stephen & Lorraine: Wedding Videography at The Villa, Wrea Green.

Stephen & Lorraine’s Big Day took place at The Villa, Wrea Green and it was my first time shooting a Wedding there, big thumbs up for anyone considering it…

I started very early at the Bridal preperations to capture all the pre-wedding fun with the girls and as the ceremony got closer, Lorraine began to feel the nerves taking over but she was not alone with this as i know Stephen and his Best Man were not looking forward to the speeches at all!

This was my second time shooting with Paul Kelly, really enjoyed working alongside him for this one (again we sounded like a bunch of camera nerds on our break)

A wonderful day for everyone involved, cogratulations to Mr & Mrs Blackett.

2013 PEN National Awards: Event Videography in Birmingham.

The 2013 PENNA Awards, held at the Birmingham & Midland Institute

I was there to capture the full day including the keynote speeches, award winners, presentations (full presentations available from Ruth Evans at PEN) and due to a problem with their photographer, i stepped in to provide photos of the award winners as well!

A very busy and surprisingly entertaining day for me with 2-3 cameras rolling, multiple microphones to capture the speeches and it was great to hear the presentations in their entirety when i got to the editing stage (listening to them live is pretty hard when you are spending most of the time watching the visual & audio settings)

Ruth & her team should be proud of this year’s event and they definitely deserved that glass of champagne at the end 🙂

Thanks to Becki Cross at Events Northern for recommending me to Ruth!
