Kylie & Mabs: Weddings at Iscoyd Park

What made you choose Iscoyd for your wedding?

Iscoyd Park completely blew us away when we first visited, and every time we returned we fell more in love with it.   We had searched far and wide because although we were going for a civil ceremony, we still wanted a ceremony room that had character and was a beautiful space, which was initially a challenge. Iscoyd’s garden room was everything we hoped for and more.  Their fantastic team took care of all the little details and the day ran like a dream.

What reasons did you have for picking RTP films to record your day?

We were researching online and as soon as we saw the clips that RTP had produced we were just blown away by the quality of their films.  Each clip we viewed was consistently amazing and their work looked like something from a movie trailer. Roland and Lisa were absolutely brilliant on the day, so down to earth and also practically invisible which was something that was important to us!  The speed in which they produced an incredible ‘teaser’ for us right after the wedding is testament to their talent.

If you had to pick 1 favourite moment, what would it be?

Kylie:   standing at the front of the beautiful ceremony room with Matt as we’d just been announced as husband and wife and looking back at all of our loved ones as a ripple of cheers went through the room. It was incredible.

Matt:   I’d agree with that, plus seeing everyone spontaneously getting up off their chairs midway through the meal and dancing to Sweet Caroline!  We had a brilliant acoustic guitarist, Jai, playing in the background and as the drinks flowed everyone got a bit carried away between courses, which was hilarious.

What sort of experience did you want for your guests?

We wanted to create the feeling of an intimate ceremony and drinks reception, following by a very relaxed, party vibe for the wedding breakfast and evening.   It was all easy to achieve at Iscoyd, with the stunning tall windows and elegance of the garden room, which was later transformed by the band whilst we all dined next door.

Having a musical backdrop to the whole day was also very important to us.   Nero string quartet played for us at the ceremony and drinks reception, followed by Jai’s acoustic set, then on into the evening with the amazingly energetic party band Mad Hen, and finally late night dancing to classics played by our friend Graham ‘Lefty’ Newlands, the resident DJ at London’s Guilty Pleasures.

All in all we were thrilled with the way that the day unfolded.  Every last bit of planning was completely worth it!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Roberts x Ro & Lisa

Gemma & Marc: Weddings at Mitton Hall

Wedding Videography in Lancashire.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Whalley, Gemma & Marc tied the knot in style and here is a short film of their wonderful day.

Why did you choose Mitton Hall for your special day?

We chose Mitton Hall because we liked how bright and modern the wedding room was and don’t have to do to much to it but also loved how grand yet cosy the entrance room is.

What made you choose RTP Films to capture your wedding?

I chose RTP for filming our wedding because you were highly recommended loved the teaser you put on facebook and wanted to re live the day.

We know it’s hard but could you pick one favourite moment from the whole day?

Marc’s Favourite bit of the day was Macie’s speech
My favourite bit of the day seeing all the guesses. Head & tail game and the throwing of the bouquet.

What experience did you want to give your guests?

I wanted my guess to have a fun relaxing & memorable day.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Wheeler, it was a pleasure to film your BIG DAY with all your friends and family, Ro & Lisa x

LUHAR /TORRES: Weddings at Thornton Manor, Cheshire

MASSIVE WEDDING VIBES…

Why did you choose Thornton Manor for your BIG DAY?

We chose Thornton Manor because it gave us the best of both worlds with two venues. Julio really wanted an outdoors in the woods wedding and I really wanted the history and grandeur of the house. When we first drove up to the house, I knew is was the venue I had always dreamed of.

What made you choose RTP Films to capture your wedding?

Having someone capture the best day of our lives was really important. It was such a busy day (as I’m sure you remember) that I knew I wouldn’t be able to memories everything. We met with a lot of videographers and it was really important to have a good connection as it is such a personal and special day. We wanted that emotion to be captured. As soon as my dad, mum and I met you, we knew you were the right guys for the job!

What were your favorite parts of the wedding?

The best part of my day was the first dance. It was the first time in the day everything began to sink it. Julio and I have had a rocky road getting to this place and the song ‘At Last’ summed everything up. We finally had each other after everything we had been through. 5 years of long distance was not easy!

How did Julio propose?

4. Julio knew that the most important part of my life is my incredible family. He came from New York to the UK to spend Christmas with my family for the first time. On Christmas Eve, we travelled back to Preston from London (where I work) and when we got home there was the biggest bunch of flowers. Julio, got down on one knee and had a whole speech prepared and I didn’t hear any of it because I just couldn’t stop crying! Straight after we had saw all the family and the weeklong of celebrations began.

Congratulations Chandni & Julio, thanks for making us feel so very welcome x

Claire & Paul: Weddings at The Belsfield Hotel, Cumbria

Snow was predicted, Sun took it’s place for this beautiful wedding in The Lake District

1) Why did you choose The Belsfield for your wedding?

We have always loved visiting the Lake District and my grandparents had a boathouse in Bowness for many years so we loved the homely feeling that the lakes had for us. The Belsfield stood out immediately on our tour of the many venues that we had seen online. In fact, I think it was my Dad initially who had stumbled across the Belsfield when we started looking at venues. By coincidence Paul’s parents had stayed there many years ago too, well before the Laura Ashley refurb!

2) What made you want a videographer for your wedding?

We had been told by many of our married friends how fast the day goes so knew it was important for us to capture the day from beginning to end. We loved recently watching my parents wedding video and knew that was something we would want to be able to do in years to come.

3) What were your favourite parts of the BIG DAY?

Claire- I find it hard to choose … at the start of the day it would have to be the dress reveal to my Dad but I also loved spending the morning with my 3 best friends, mum and Paul’s mum getting ready, then I’d say mine and Paul’s entrance to the wedding breakfast to ‘You’ve got the love’ and all the cheering and probably the moment Ellie Sax came on – we all had so much fun dancing the night away!
Paul- hearing the string quartet begin Des’ree Kissing You & seeing Claire walk down the aisle, unexpectedly, actually enjoying delivering my speech & the moment after the first dance, when the confetti cannons went off & Ellie Sax setting the tone for the night!
(We could go on & on … readings during the ceremony, speeches, string quartet, mind reader, casino – we loved it all!)

4) How did Paul propose? (Gushy details are allowed)

Paul first planned to propose when we were on holiday in Thailand, only I fell poorly so he had to re think his plan for when we were home! We had a birthday weekend in Chester planned a month or so later. I love a good picnic & the sun was shining so we went to a beautiful park for the afternoon. Little did I know, why Paul insisted on carrying the picnic bag over his shoulder covering his back pocket which had the ring in! During the picnic Paul climbed onto one knee & asked if I would marry him… he said some lovely words too but I was so in shock so I don’t think I registered what he had said… (apparently I grabbed the ring out of his hand and said is this real) … of course I said yes and couldn’t wait to phone our friends and family who were delighted. I still remember now how genuinely happy everyone was for us, it was a lovely lovely feeling!!

Congratulations Claire & Paul, thanks for having us x Ro & lisa

Gemma & James: Weddings at Mitton Hall

Highlights from the marriage of Mr & Mrs Tomkins

“It’s fantastic!!! Love it!!!! Thank you guys so much” x (Gemma)

Why Mitton Hall?
The reason we chose Mitton Hall, we were basically blown away by the beautiful building and it’s surroundings. We thought it would be the perfect venue for a wedding our size. Also, all of the staff on every visit there made us feel so welcome, and I felt they were so thorough and organised in covering every aspect of the wedding we had in our minds. They had everything under control and this showed on the wedding day as the day couldn’t of gone any better for me.

What made you want a videographer?
The reason for wanting a videographer for us meant capturing the moments that as a bride and groom you don’t get to see. Everybody tells you before your wedding that the day will go so fast and you forget moments so quickly so we wanted to be able to re watch and re live the day again and again.
A another big reason for me is capturing moments of Oscar being him crazy self and all the kids being the age that they are, playing and dancing ect together, I didn’t want to forget things like that either.

Favourite parts from the BIG DAY?
For me it was the ceremony, definitely. I really loved saying my vows to James, and surprisingly I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I would be. And for James, he also says the ceremony and having all our friends and family celebrating together.

How did James propose?
James proposed basically at home, just me and him there. We both discussed marriage early on in our relationship (very grown up of us haha) so it was something we knew we both wanted. And it was the day after a friends wedding, so I think he got the wedding bug, or maybe people pestering him at the wedding saying “when are you two getting married then???”

Congratulations Gemma & James, thank you for inviting us to your very special day 🙂 Ro & Lisa x

Ashley & Adam: Weddings at Sandhole Oak Barn, Cheshire

So much sun for a wedding in February…

We love it!!!! Can’t thank you enough!!!

(Ashley)

What made you choose Sandhole Oak Barn for your Wedding?

After having a look at (what feels like all) wedding venues online, I (Ashley) had arranged to see several we liked one weekend, I was back up North (as we were living in London at the time). The plan was to have a casual look – Adam wasn’t even there. Sandhole Oak was the first venue I visited and I called Adam to say we didn’t need to see any others.

Hi Roland just a quick thank you for the video you have just sent us of Ashley & Adams Wedding. In the words of my proud daughter who has just watched it. “ He has nailed it” you have absolutely captured all the emotion and love of the day!!

I just want to thank you to you and your wife for such an excellent job. I will be recommending you to everyone and our paths will meet again I am sure.

Thanks from one Proud Dad.

(Lee – A Very Proud Father of the Bride)

How did Adam propose?

I came home from work on a random Friday night to Adam, a French Bulldog puppy named Bruce and a ring.

What were your favourite memories from the Big Day?

Ashley – Getting ready with the girls – Seeing my dad for the first time before him walking me down the aisle – Seeing Adam for the first time

Adam – Morning beers – Watching Ashley walk down the aisle – Ant’s heckle during the best man speech

What experience did you want to give your guests?

A relaxed and fun day filled with happy memories.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Pritchard, our first wedding of 2018 and what a way to kick off 🙂

Ro & Lisa x
