What made you choose Nunsmere Hall for your BIG DAY?
The contrast in what it had to offer the hall with the high ceilings and features and the marquee which overlooked the lake. The setting of the venue and its grounds….as soon as we looked round we fell in love with it. We also loved the fact that guests had no idea that the marquee was even there!
How did Graeme propose?
It was our 3 year anniversary and we booked a hotel to stay in Manchester (where we first met) . Unbeknown to me Graeme had cancelled the hotel we booked together and booked the king street townhouse (junior suite) – I had no idea until we arrived – even then I didn’t click – we exchanged anniversary cards / gifts, went for a dip in the infinity pool overlooking the town hall and just before we were heading out for our meal he got down on one knee and proposed, it was perfect.
If you had to pick a favourite moment from the whole day, what would that be?
We both really loved our ceremony and the string quartet as I walked down the aisle to Graeme. We also both really enjoyed our first dance which Graeme was dreading and the party that followed, the dance floor was full all night!
Any advice for a couple who are planning their wedding?
Make sure you have a budget – without a budget you will spend thousands more! Be savvy – use Pinterest – buy and sell pages. Make sure you choose your suppliers carefully, consider recommendations from friends who may have used them previously. The photography / video was certainly our priority! Your memory of your day will last forever but you need to ensure you have the best professionals capturing your day!
