We were invited to appear on the Wedding Q’s Live broadcast this week to talk about wedding videography & photography. DJ Andy Murphy & Gavin Jones from The Rush hosted the show from The Great John Street Hotel on a bright Monday evening in Manchester, you can view the entire show below.
On the panel we had Stefan from YSD Media, James Jebson, David Stubbs, James Tracey & a live performance from Benjamin Lee Smith who stole the show really.
Here are a few images from David Stubbs
Here is a short Behind The Scenes video we put together…
Episode 3 of WedCarKaraoke featured one of our favourite wedding singers Paul Guard.
Usually we manage to get some tips and advice for Brides & Grooms in regards to whatever supplier we have in the car but on this occasion we were having too much fun 🙂
We had an unusual break from ‘Storm Whatever’ for my last wedding of 2015 which mean’t we could grab a few pictures outside the Church before we headed off the Preston North End for Party Time 🙂
Upon our arrival we quickly sneaked off for a few photos on the pitch before joining the rest of the guests where i managed to grab some interviews during the reception.
Suzanne had a nice surprise for Rob with her own rendition of Wonderwall which told their story just before the first dance. Mrs Walsh sent me a little message after the wedding saying how she felt i was more like a guest and that’s exactly how i felt on the day thanks to their awesome family and friends!
Whitehead & Howarth Accountants hired me to produce a short promotional video for their website and social media pages, it was a very short shoot at their offices in St Annes and we also had the chance to use some old cine film from when the original owners worked in the same office. Ruth Moran Consulting Agency asked me to produce a set of team head shots for their website and social media pages, the only request “Can we make them all Black & White”, not a problem…..
Headshot Photography
The only slight problem was the amount of room we had to shoot in, the pictures were taken in a cloakroom which wasn’t ideal but this is quite common when shooting at a client’s office.
Family Portraits
Here are a couple of examples from recent family portrait sessions.
Personal Projects
Video & Photography is how i make a living but like everybody else i do love to just snap away whist out on family trips and here are a few of my recent favorites.
At Last, a wedding were I did not need to use The Sat-Nag to find my way 🙂
The weather was just about on our side for the group photos and i gotta say Jason was a natural when it came to the shots, i just pointed the camera and from no where, ‘Catalogue Pose’!
It was the details which really made this wedding for me (some you will have seen in the video) smokey drinks?, skull & crossbones and the personalised desserts which The Leyland Hotel prepared.
Now i have to mention the dance floor…. Break Dancing, Dirty Dancing (the lift move), Austin Powers, they did it all and very funny it was 🙂
I popped along to the 80’s disco last night to capture some of the fun and raise a bit of money for the Katy Holmes Trust.
You can find the link to download your photos here.
The props case proved as popular as ever at these sort of events, it’s quite funny to see grown men waving lightsabres around whilst wearing pink wigs…
Or even a hybrid YMCA-Frankie creation!
Purple Pig provided the catering and we both had the pleasure of judging the best fancy dress, Adam Ant and Beetlejuice if you were wondering.
Me & Karen from South Ribble spent a morning around Leyland filming some of the local business owners talking about their town. For a totally unscripted shoot, they pulled out some really good performances, although as you can see here, it was not 100% perfect. We had a rough preview a couple of weeks later, which was basically me holding an iPad in front of 20ish people which slightly made me nervous but it gained some great reactions from all involved, i’ll settle for that!

Lancashire Event Video
A long and verrrry busy day for me on this one…
Leyland Festival 2013 really raised the bar after a few hiccups over previous years, the sun showed its face just at the right time as thousands of people swarmed to Worden Park for a fun, family day out.
I won’t write too much about the day as you have probably just watched the film above but after reading lots of comments on their facebook page, it would appear that this years festival has kickstarted a bit of love for annual event.
Thanks to APC Overnight, Leyland Albion, Dance Talent Studio and Lucy Yates(the festival Queen herself) for their help with the film.
Lancashire Product Photography
Isobel from Paces & Laces asked me to come down and photograph some of her shoes to upload onto their new website…
as you can probably see, there was quite a few that needed doing so we managed to get a quick production line going…SHOE-CLICK-NEXT, no time for any fancy set ups on this one!
Finally, a bit of a personal post here…my wife fosters cats for Blackpool Cats in Care and we received our first pregnant cat a few months ago so i decided to capture a few of the highlights of our time with her (and them).
The footage was shot on whatever device was in reach at the time,Camcorder, DSLR, Go-Pro and even and iPhone…
