Our time in Isolation: Part 2

isolation -corona virus - lancashire

We are into our 4th week of LOCKDOWN at home, luckily the weather has been good enough that we can sit out in the garden and sort of convince ourselves that this is a holiday (as much as that is possible with all the daily updates from this virus).

We have a fairly strict routine of…
Walk the dog – (a huge empty field for us), eat Breakfast, work out (homemade gym), sit in the garden (if weather permits), deal with any work emails (luckily the wedding cancellation/postponements have died down for now but we expect another round soon), make a few video calls to catch up with the outside world, maybe a bit of TV or a Film and finish the day off with supper and bed, THATS IT!
After 5 weeks of this, boredom has started to creep in a little so this week we have both decided to take up an instrument, god help the neighbours. We are not sure how long we’ll keep this up, as long as we are kept in doors to be honest so we’d like to make an appeal to Bojo, Mr Trump, W.H.O and anyone else who is working hard to fight Coronavirus, DOUBLE YOUR EFFORTS or we may get to a point when we unleash our musical abilities to the world and no one wants that.

Its not all Doom & Gloom though, i think we can all agree that there are many great things that have come out of this pandemic. Community spirit has gone in to overdrive, the amount of online chats, quiz nights, help groups, virtual bars, live entertainment streams we have witnessed over the past few weeks has been incredible. The NHS Thursday night claps have put our amazing national service to the front of our thoughts and hearts. Boredom inspires people to create or try something new whether it is a short TikTok dance with your family, creating works of art in your kitchen or simply learning a new craft. Once this is all over a great number of people will come out of this with a new outlook and set of skills which they would never have dreamed of without being forced to STAY AT HOME and take a break from their lives for a short while so make the most of this time we have.

Anyway, its Dog walking time now so we’d better leave this here for now, STAY SAFE EVERYONE X

WHAT A WEDDING!!!

Some weddings you can just have a little too much fun at and this was definitely one of them. Vicky & Mason tied the knot on a (rare) sunny day in August. Both the Bride & Groom were ready for an amazing day as soon as we started filming.

Mr & Mrs C put a quality WEDDING TEAM together at Wyresdale Park including Foxley Photography, Mr Paul Guard, Bluebells & Daisies, Karen Rhodes Events, Bon Vivant, Sugar Wishes Cakes any many others who were all on top form, Vicky was kind enough to message us the following day once she received her Instagram Sneak Peek (below)

” Roland and Lisa, we just wanted to take the time out of currently living on cloud nine to say thank you so much for taking the time to capture our day on Saturday. We truly truly had the most unreal day ever which exceeded all expectations. We have both said since that a huge part of that was down to the amazing team we had working around us. We honestly cannot thank you enough for making our day so relaxed, making us feel so at ease, have so much fun and party so hard!!! We honestly and truthfully have loved meeting you both and would recommend you a million times over. That sneak peak that we received SO SOON has captured the utter blast we had in 30 seconds which is amazing and we cannot wait to see the final thing in months to come. Lisa, thank you for looking after me on the day, you were an utter angel and that Holly Willoughby comment,   What an absolute team, what an absolute day and what an absolute set of wonderful memories. Thank you SO much!! When are you free to do it all over again? Lots of love Vicky and Mason” xxxxx

If you’re gonna do it all over again, give us a call, we’ll be there in a flash!

A Stunning Spring Wedding in the heart of the Ribble Valley

Hi Roland and Lisa,
Thank you so much the video. We absolutely love it! You captured everything so perfectly. I’ve watched it 5 times already. The extras are fab too. I’d forgotten a lot of it. Thank you so much. It’s something I will treasure forever”
Kayleigh

Kayleigh & David tied the knot on a bright spring day in Croston, the scenery looked picture perfect for their walk to the church. This wedding was a joy to film, so chilled out during the whole day, a great family celebration with quite a few familiar faces for us as well as one of our favourite wedding singers Alex Birtwell.

We featured their wedding and the story on how we met them here https://youtu.be/-w-c86L4nQo?t=61

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Haigh, thanks for inviting us to your BIG DAY x

Katy & Stuart: Weddings at The Inn at Whitewell

lancashire-wedding-video

In a pub by a river on a very sunny day…..

Why did you choose the The Inn at Whitewell for your wedding reception?

We had never been to the Inn before but as soon as we walked in we were taken by its charm and it’s stunning setting. The staff could not be more welcoming and helpful and we knew that this was the place for us instantly.

How did Stuart propose?

Stuart proposed on an amazing holiday in Cuba, on the beach, at sunset!! Who  knew he had it in him!

I know its hard but do you have a favourite memory from the whole wedding experience?

Our favourite bit of the wedding is a bit cliché but sharing it with all our friends and family; when else do you get everybody that is special to you under one roof!

What advice would you give any Bride & Groom who is looking to plan their wedding?

My advice is to be organised and book things well in advance to avoid disappointment! But also to trust the experts; they have done it all a million times before! Ensure to book people who make you feel good, who you can work alongside but also that can work alongside each other. Build a team around you that you love!

Congratulations Katy & Stu, thanks for inviting us to your BIG DAY, Ro & Lisa x

Stephanie & Alex: Weddings at Rivington Barn

A BLISTERING DAY IN THE SUN WITH 2 WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!!!

What made you choose Rivington Barn for your wedding?

We chose Rivington Barn for a few reasons…. it’s a beautiful venue, its close to home and we spent a lot of time there as a family so it holds a lot of special memories for us. It’s the only wedding venue we considered after we got engaged and we knew that my dad would have been over the moon that we were getting married there and that was really important to us!

How did Alex propose (gushy details allowed)?

Alex was very romantic, he whisked me off the Paris just before Christmas. I had no idea he was going to pop the question! I should have known really as he was being very soppy and romantic telling me how much he loved me! We went up the Eiffel Tower just as it was going dark, I moaned all the way up there as it was so cold! We spent about two minutes at the viewing point and I was like right let’s go down now it’s too cold so he didn’t manage to do it up there as planned! Instead he did it alongside the canal, I was taking some photos and videos of the tower and turned round to him getting down on one knee. It was totally unexpected, I didn’t think he had it in him!

Hard question but do you have one favorite moment for your wedding? (you can have more than one if you like)

My favourite parts of the wedding were getting ready in the morning with the bridal party, it got a bit hectic at one point as there were so many of us but it was just so nice and I felt really relaxed! Another highlight for me was walking into the wedding breakfast and everyone clapping and cheering! It just felt surreal that it was our wedding! Alex’s favourite part of the wedding was the evening do! We never left the dance floor! We played a lot of songs that reminded us of our youth and we had a foam machine for the last hour, everyone wearing shower caps jumping around the dance floor! It was definitely a night to remember!

If you could give 1 piece of advice to anyone planning their wedding, what would it be?

My one piece of advice is to enjoy the planning and work together! We got a little stressed at times but we still very much enjoyed planning it and would do it again in a heartbeat!
