“It’s fantastic!!! Love it!!!! Thank you guys so much” x (Gemma)
Why Mitton Hall?
The reason we chose Mitton Hall, we were basically blown away by the beautiful building and it’s surroundings. We thought it would be the perfect venue for a wedding our size. Also, all of the staff on every visit there made us feel so welcome, and I felt they were so thorough and organised in covering every aspect of the wedding we had in our minds. They had everything under control and this showed on the wedding day as the day couldn’t of gone any better for me.
What made you want a videographer?
The reason for wanting a videographer for us meant capturing the moments that as a bride and groom you don’t get to see. Everybody tells you before your wedding that the day will go so fast and you forget moments so quickly so we wanted to be able to re watch and re live the day again and again.
A another big reason for me is capturing moments of Oscar being him crazy self and all the kids being the age that they are, playing and dancing ect together, I didn’t want to forget things like that either.
Favourite parts from the BIG DAY?
For me it was the ceremony, definitely. I really loved saying my vows to James, and surprisingly I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I would be. And for James, he also says the ceremony and having all our friends and family celebrating together.
How did James propose?
James proposed basically at home, just me and him there. We both discussed marriage early on in our relationship (very grown up of us haha) so it was something we knew we both wanted. And it was the day after a friends wedding, so I think he got the wedding bug, or maybe people pestering him at the wedding saying “when are you two getting married then???”
Congratulations Gemma & James, thank you for inviting us to your very special day 🙂 Ro & Lisa x
I knew this was gonna be a great wedding to shoot, brides of weddings past and future in the same room, family members, talented wedding friends all came together for Mr & Mrs Awdes BIG DAY 🙂
So where do we begin…
It was a bright January morning at Mitton Hall, i spotted Lottie Designs shooting away, Finch Bakery delivering the cake and the groomsmen having a couple of early drinks to calm their nerves. Dax on Sax (with Sam Shepherd on DJ duties) entertained the guests before the Wedding Breakfast and then it was time for the speeches with a very entertaining song from Best Man Dan (thanks for the tracks http://www.danphillipson.com/ ). Sam Fitton joined for the evening reception and even managed to set the fire alarm off with his finale for Carly & Phil (Very Funny). Andy Murphy kept the Dancefloor filled until the small hours with some help from Mr Worm & The Phantom Splits (we’re shooting his wedding this year, can’t wait for that)
An Awesome Wedding With Awesome People
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Awde
The Facebook version will be available here shortly
This was our first time entering any competition, it’s not something we were honestly particularly keen to do but thought ‘hey ho let’s give it a go’

On the day of the awards we decided to shoot a quick before and after from the awards ceremony at Mitton Hall
Although we were unsuccessful in grabbing a trophy, we had a great night with some of our wedding buddies, meeting new people, putting faces to Facebook businesses 🙂
Now that the process is over for us, we can finally read all of the wonderful comments from our fantastic Brides & Grooms (the page order may be a little mixed, sorry about that)
Lynsey & Dan had the loudest guests i have heard in a long time, LOVED IT!!!
After my first meeting with them i knew their wedding was going to be a lot of fun and it did not disappoint.
Mitton Hall (aka Big Daves House) were brilliant as ever and it was my first time working with Lottie Designs, i had so much fun shooting with her which involved the usual nerdy camera banter and a much needed pre-first dance stretch off 😉
We had a test of the VideoBooth on this one which proved to be a good warm up for the evening doo, i pretty much lost my voice shouting dance moves to everyone that jumped in, a fantastic, fun day for the Bride & Groom, thanks for reading RTP x
Deb (Alexa’s Mum) hired me to film her daughter’s wedding about 18 months ago and it was to be kept as a secret for when they came back from Australia…
I started the day at the Waddington Arms for the Groom preparations (Luke was a little surprised when i turned up) and then quickly moved on to Mitton Hall aka Big Dave’s House (Brilliant as ever).
It was nice shooting for the first time with Zoie Carter Ingham, I’m pretty sure i have a few more with her this year 🙂
One of the rare occasions were the Bride & Groom had traveled further than any of the guests, a lovely day for lovely couple 🙂
Just one last thing, i did at test at Mitton Hall this weekend with my Video Booth which proved a lot of fun during the early evening reception, i have a bit of tweaking to do with this but hopefully will have it available for wedding packages soon, here is a quick glimpse…
