Great Hall at Maines Wedding Videography: Sam & Karl

The Bridesmaids set the tone as we started filming at The Great Hall for Mr & Mrs Ashcroft’s BIG DAY, it was so funny to watch them practice their walk down the aisle whilst Make-Up Artist Sonara Parker worked her magic in the kitchen. The Groom arrived with his 2 best men looking very sharp and ready for an awesome day with family and friends.

The Great Hall looked stunning with help of Creative Cover Hire which made it very easy for us and their wedding photographer Bobtale Photography to capture such gorgeous images. (lovely working with you Robyn)

We feel so lucky to be part of so many wonderful days such as Sam & Karl’s wedding, capturing their day and telling the story of how they spent an amazing day with all the people they love is an honor.  The first dance just exploded once those confetti cannons fired and as we left the evening reception we knew this was going to open their wedding video.

We were invited to appear on the Wedding Q’s Live broadcast this week to talk about wedding videography & photography. DJ Andy Murphy & Gavin Jones from The Rush hosted the show from The Great John Street Hotel on a bright Monday evening in Manchester, you can view the entire show below.

On the panel we had Stefan from YSD Media, James Jebson, David Stubbs, James Tracey & a live performance from Benjamin Lee Smith who stole the show really.

Armathwaite Hall Wedding Videography: Gillian & Michael

A perfect day for a wedding deep in the Cumbria countryside is what we hoped for and this one did not disappoint.

Gillian & Michael’s Lake District celebration at the stunning Armathwaite Hall Hotel was such a joy to film, the sunny lakeside setting gave us a chance to capture many beautiful and natural scenes. The Groom was walking around the hotel very early in the morning greeting his guests and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere around Bassenthwaite Lake. Michael only just kept it together as his Bride walked down the aisle but a cheeky slap on the bum from his Bestman & brother took his mind of any tears for just long enough. The drinks reception had a lovely, relaxed vibe with the classical musicians playing whilst guests enjoyed Ice-Cream,Champagne & Sun Sun Sun.

Mike & Gillians children stole most of the day with a great rendition of ‘He never leaves the seat up’ and a great opening speech which you can see in the video below.

The children also joined them for their first dance and then the night kicked off with a Ceili Band & BBQ on the terrace as the sun set on this Glorious British Wedding.

I knew this was gonna be a great wedding to shoot, brides of weddings past and future in the same room, family members, talented wedding friends all came together for Mr & Mrs Awdes BIG DAY 🙂
So where do we begin…
It was a bright January morning at Mitton Hall, i spotted Lottie Designs shooting away, Finch Bakery delivering the cake and the groomsmen having a couple of early drinks to calm their nerves. Dax on Sax (with Sam Shepherd on DJ duties) entertained the guests before the Wedding Breakfast and then it was time for the speeches with a very entertaining song from Best Man Dan (thanks for the tracks http://www.danphillipson.com/ ). Sam Fitton joined for the evening reception and even managed to set the fire alarm off with his finale for Carly & Phil (Very Funny). Andy Murphy kept the Dancefloor filled until the small hours with some help from Mr Worm & The Phantom Splits (we’re shooting his wedding this year, can’t wait for that)

Sian & Ben were joined by a rowdy bunch on their wedding day who all arrived at Mitton Hall ready for a an AWESOME DAY 🙂
It was lovely working with SDS Photography for the first time and we were joined by Red Floral, Creative Cover Hire and Dance floor Couture working in front and behind the scenes.
Ben was very nervous before the ceremony but the ice was well and truly broken when the registrar introduced them as Ben & Sean 🙂

We met Danielle & Ian not too long before their wedding in Ikea for a quick chat and then the future Mrs Sullivan-Jones proceeded to purchased every candle in store to light up her BIG DAY!

Myself, Lisa & Scott Sharman Photography had an early start with the Bridesmaids before setting off to the STUNNING Peckforton Castle for a Wonderful Winter Wedding.

Lots of laughs & tears (surprisingly from the Groom and Best Man) filled the day, what a great couple to shoot, we had soooo much fun with them, congratulations D&I, thanks for having us 🙂
