Wennington Hall has quickly become one of my favourite wedding venues in Lancashire. Thanks to the stunning building, beautiful grounds and the amazing food that James Places provides. This was my second trip to Wennington this year for Suzanne & Andrews BIG DAY. What an amazing day with all their family, friends and a top wedding team including The DFC Experience.
I first met Vikki & Peter a couple of years ago when I filmed the wedding of Sarah & John. Vikki delivered a killer ‘Maid of Honour’ speech 😅 This was my first trip to Wennington Hall, I was really excited to work here and it did not disappoint, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
Joining me on the day, I had the pleasure of working with Kerry Woods Photography, Rebecca Diamond Music (that lady could belt out a tune), Ross Downs Hairdressing, Rose Hill Cake Studio, Flawless Band.
A few of my personal highlights: Vikki’s dads reaction when first seeing his daughter (that’ll do 😅), working with a very relaxed and extremely fun loving couple. Obviously, working at Wennington was a blast.
What a lovely wedding to be a part of, thank you for inviting me, lots of love, Ro x
How do I know Ellen & Jack? Well, they live across the road from me. And believe it or not, this is the 6th wedding I have filmed on our street, and the second one from the same address! I was looking forward to this Autumn, rustic wedding at Bowland Tipis, and it did not dissapoint.
The weather was STUNNING for a marriage in late October. The vibrant colours surrounding the venue were absolutely perfect. Ellen & her girls had a calm start to the morning, a few tears but a lot of fun. Jack and his boys worked their way through a MONSTER BREAKFAST prepped by his Groomsmen. From the moment their Bagpipes started playing, myself and Mark Mcgloughlin Photo had an amazing day with all the family and friends. A BIG SHOUT to our wonderful Bridesmaids who were on top form throughout the whole day, Ellen chose wisely (Amber, looking forward to 2027)
A few favourite moments from this amazing day…Obviously, the weather. Seeing Jacks surprise during the singing waiters introduction, Maevyn being a complete star all day. Dancing after the wedding breakfast, always a winner.
Thank you for inviting me to your wonderful day, lots of love, Roland (No 17 😅)
“I can’t stop watching it thank you so so much” (Jess)
A Monday morning at Eaves Hall, down at the Lodge, all you could here was The Avocado Song & Crazy Frog Song on repeat, and that was my ear worm allllll day 🤣 Jess and Ash were super chilled during the morning preparation’s. Ash and his boys, suiting up in the Snooker Room at Eaves with a few surprises for our Groom from of his Bride. (surprise polaroids to follow) I am sure Ash will not mind me saying this, but he was absolute WEDDING FILM GOLD when his daughters and Bride walked down the aisle. The tears started and did not stop until Jess stood by his side. A few nervous mistakes really broke the ice during the ceremony and definitely added some lovely humour to the wedding vows.
“Wow …. Wow….. wow, We’ve just relived the best day of our lives because of you, That was amazing, We are both a crying mess right now and we’ve watched it on loop for the past hour” (Ash)
Jess & Ash assembled a great WedTeam including, Nick English Photography, Sophie Wakeman MUA, Fleur Design, Exceed Events, Lisa Marie Cakes Lucy Howard Hair.
I had such a good time with the new Mr & Mrs Edwards. I am so happy that you loved your film. Thank you for inviting me to your lovely wedding, lots of love, Roland x
Nicola & John’s day started off in a very relaxed fashion at Ribble Valley Country Cottages. Nic, her girls and a rogue cat were very chilled during the morning preps. John and the boys spent their time learning how to operate a bow tie thanks to Youtube. The occasional North/South divide banter provided by Darren (Father of the Bride) set the tone for the speeches ahead. A lovely ceremony at St Helens Church in Waddington was next before we ventured off to Cromwell Bridge and then landing at Browsholme Hall for the rest of the day.
Joining us on this wonderful day was Nick English Photography, The Bridal Artist Co, The Rock n Soulless (thank you for allowing me to use your performance for their soundtrack). We had such a good time with Mr & Mrs Bintu, all their family and friends. Thank you for inviting me, hopefully I will see you at your brothers wedding 😆
A summer, festival styled wedding in the Lake District surrounded by mountains…YES PLEASE!!!
When driving away from New House Farm at approximately 10pm, when the thunder and lightening started, I thought to myself ‘WOW, That was my kind of day’ Weather wise, we were treated to a typical Cumbria day, blazing sunshine in the morning, rain for the ceremony, sun in the afternoon, rain for the first dance and then the previously mentioned storm. And not one drop of rain phased Hannah,Greg or their guests. They gladly danced in the rain until we all ran inside to continue the Ceilidh dancing in the barn. Joining me on the day, we had Weddings by Annabel (thank you for recommending me for this one) Chris Freers Photography, The Triple Scotch Band (thank you for letting me use your music for their sound track). Hannah & Greg hosted an amazing day in The Lakes, a really fun and chilled wedding with so many highlights. My personal favourites – The Tug of War , Best Man with no pants 🩲😅. The first dance and Ceilidh taking place with an amazing Cumbria backdrop ⛰️ The festival vibe and delicious food 🥘
Thank you for inviting me to your amazing day. If you are ever up for a sequel to this film, COUNT ME IN!!!
