Whilst wedding venue hunting, we found The Oak Tree of Peover on the back of a bridal magazine, we instantly loved it from the photos so we booked a viewing and fell head over heals with it. We loved everything about it, a small intimate, rustic and romance. It was perfect for us. From the very start we loved the idea of tipi’s so when The Oak Tree told us we could have tipi’s at the venue, it was a done deal.
How did Sam propose?
Sam proposed in the Lake District in my Auntie’s Cottage in Bowness. We went for a few days away over the last bank holiday in May 2016. I was upstairs and there was a knock at the door so I went to answer it as Sam was “busy”. Outside was our chocolate Labrador-Jenson with a top hat on, dickiebow and a sign round his neck saying “mummy will you marry daddy”. With my sister hidden behind a plant pot with a confetti canon, I couldn’t stop laughing. Sam then appeared behind me and got down on one knee. Little did I realised my sisters boyfriend videoing the whole thing through some railings
Oh my god that is amazing! Actually so so amazing! We can’t Stop watching it!!

What advice would you give to any Bride & Groom planning their wedding?
The advice We’d give to brides and grooms is just to enjoy every single moment of the run up and on the day. Everyone says that but it really is an amazing day and your just in this little wedding bubble so enjoy every single second you can. Try to book all your vendors as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed and to make sure you have your dream day with all your favourite suppliers. Surround yourselves with the best.
Why did you pick us to film your BEAUTIFUL WEDDING?
Roland and Lisa were recommended to us by sisters friends, we loved their videos from the beginning. Writing this we have only seen our sneak peak and that was amazing already so we are so excited to see the whole thing and the teaser! Your both so amazing and you both really made us feel at ease throughout the day. I couldn’t recommend you both more! It was a perfect day start to finish thanks to you both and we have amazing memories to cherish forever. Thank you so so much for everything.
I have said it before and i will say it again, having great wedding entertainment really does add so much to your day, Mr Farrow certainly started the party very early and the dancing did not stop all way through to the evening reception, whether it’s singing waiters, acoustic acts, rock band, get them booked as early as possible, you will not regret it 🙂
You could tell Natasha & Paul had an amazing day (yes she does have the biggest smile in the world #fact) and their guests were on TOP FORM all through the day, WHAT A GREAT WEDDING TO BE PART OF, thanks for having me x
The Facebook version will be available here shortly
So before we go any further, let’s get the Best Man’s speech out of the way, this week you may have seen it on the BBC North West News, or in the paper but if not, this became sort of famous, you can see it here on my Instagram feed…
After speaking to a few of our Wedding Buddies recently we have decided this year to enter The Wedding Industry Awards. This is the first time we have entered any awards and have to confess it’s a little daunting as we know the quality of the competition in our area but we are looking forward to the whole experience 🙂 You can find our listing on the TWIA page here
Here is a quick ‘Behind the Scenes’ video i shot whilst working with Dan at Marriage in Motion (please press the HD button)
Myself and SMH Photography kicked off the day with some very noisy and fun Bridesmaids who were more than ready to celebrate their BIG DAY!
Thanks to Saskia and her team at Heaton House Farm for making the day run so smoothly (let’s get to work on that book) and to Mr & Mrs Clancy for having me be a part of such a wonderful wedding 🙂
There are Bromance’s & then there are BROMANCE’S….i have no idea what went on before Jason met Becky but i’m sure it was a lovely friendship 🙂
We started with Bacon butties at the Bridal Prep’s, Becky’s mum was making sure that i was stacked up with food and drink for the day ahead of me (i did manage to get through all those sausage rolls throughout the day). November continued with its rain but it did not spoil 1 minute of this fabulous couples BIG DAY!
Lots of tears, a MASSIVE amount of laughs and more Selfie Sticks than you can shake a…errr….Selfie Stick at!
Such a great day to shoot, Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lynchehaun x
