Wales meets Ireland in the beautiful settings of Chateau de Courtomer

We have already talked about our adventure to France for the wedding of Mr & Mrs Gillespie on our VLOG here but now that the edit is complete and watching all the footage has brought back lots of memories, i think we can delve a little further into our trip.

The drive to Normandy (forgetting the bad traffic on the English side) was such a dream, we had 1 overnight stop in Rouen before arriving at their beautiful venue just moments before our good friend Andy Keher Photography pulled up to share stories of ‘driving on the wrong side of the road’ or ‘how many toll roads do you need’?

Arriving a full day early meant we could document all the preparations which really did turn out to be half of the whole weekend, family and friends all chipped in with flowers, lights, decorations along with the amazing teams from Artis Events, Reflet Fleurs and a BIG special thanks to Perrine who fed and watered us all weekend 🙂

The wedding day was so much fun, so relaxed and such an absolute pleasure to film. Big smiles all day, lots of gorgeous food and drink, perfect weather, beautiful surroundings, great music from Popcorn Factory and Aquarius Strings….PLEASE CAN WE DO IT AGAIN!!!

Thank you to Kevin and Ailsa for not just inviting us to your wedding and taking care of us all weekend but for giving us some great memories of our own including our little trip on the way back to Blighty (video here)

A glorious day in the sun with Mr & Mrs Walker

Becks & Ash celebrated their BIG DAY with friends, family and their dog at Eaves Hall. We started off at the Bridal Preparations with David Scholes Photography and Jason from Flower Design before heading up to St Peters Church at Stonyhurst College to film The Groom & Guest arrivals, Ash was so nervous before the ceremony.

Following the ceremony we headed up to Cromwell Bridge for a few shots before joining everyone and continue the celebrations. Eaves Hall looked stunning and is definitely one of our favourite venues with amazing gardens which make a great backdrop for your wedding film. Thanks to Mr & Mrs Walker for inviting us to your Best Day, we had a blast and it was great to see one of our couples from last year.

A Stunning Spring Wedding in the heart of the Ribble Valley

Hi Roland and Lisa,
Thank you so much the video. We absolutely love it! You captured everything so perfectly. I’ve watched it 5 times already. The extras are fab too. I’d forgotten a lot of it. Thank you so much. It’s something I will treasure forever”
Kayleigh

Kayleigh & David tied the knot on a bright spring day in Croston, the scenery looked picture perfect for their walk to the church. This wedding was a joy to film, so chilled out during the whole day, a great family celebration with quite a few familiar faces for us as well as one of our favourite wedding singers Alex Birtwell.

We featured their wedding and the story on how we met them here https://youtu.be/-w-c86L4nQo?t=61

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Haigh, thanks for inviting us to your BIG DAY x

Jenna & Chris: Weddings at The Shireburn Arms

Our final wedding of 2018, Jenna & Chris celebrated their big day at The Shireburne Arms in Lancashire.

“Oh Roland & Lisa, this is absolutely amazing.
Thank you so much, we just love it”

What made you pick The Shireburn Arms?

Chris wanted the big fancy wedding, I wanted a smaller more relaxed wedding. Theirs seem to blend our two visions nicely, being a country pub to look at with an amazing function room and views, but also places for family to stay on site. We went in January and totally fell in love with it.

Why RTP Films?

Why you- We looked at a few videographers. You came recommended. I stalked your website for a while. I struggle being filmed and photographed so wanted someone who wouldn’t pull us away from our wedding but blend into the background and capture our day. There are bits we don’t remember (we got a bit giddy with the wine) and from your website clips it seemed you did just that. It also helped that we had a relaxed chat on the phone before booking, I spoke to another two guys who put me right off but you were very friendly and engaging.

If you had to pick a favourite moment, what would it be?

My favourite moment ,Arriving at the church, being welcomed by Rev Brian and having my whole family walk me in, I love that you captured the “hello” to Chris at the alter, it sums us up very well.

What advice would you give anyone planning their wedding?

Don’t get lost in the detail, it doesn’t matter. What matters is the people you need to be there are there, you have fun planning and on the day of your wedding. Don’t spend more than you think you should on anything. And, plan something to do after your wedding, as you will find you have nothing to do now the day is gone.
