1 year later than planned and a new baby on the way, Dane & Elle finally celebrated their BIG DAY! The marriage of Mr & Mrs Lucas finally happened after a year of changing dates thanks to ‘You Know What’
We may have started with a little rain at the start of the day but the sun came out just at the perfect time for Richard Milnes Photography to work his magic. Colshaw Hall looked stunning thanks to the teams at Red Floral Design & The Word is Love.
Congratulation’s to you both and all the very best with the start of your new family, lots of love, Ro & Lisa x Cheshire Wedding Video
You have to feel sorry for 2020, it was that promising year which was totally screwed over and dismissed by most of the world, the abandoned child of our Gregorian calendar. Our 2020 was quiet but not one we want to forget and not just for the bad things…
Christmas was probably the quietest we have ever experienced…
With no end in sight at the moment, our wedding work is a little unclear for the short term. Enquiries are still very strong but we, just like everyone in our industry are starting to feel that weddings may not happen until later this year. Nervous couples are now wanting to change their dates WAAAYYY out of reach from the Pandemic this time, one recently asked for 2024! Being self-employed, we have had to adjust and rethink our strategy for 2020/21. We’ve managed to keep relatively busy since June last year whilst working with our wedding clients to rearrange their celebrations, some we lost on the way unfortunately and we will probably lose a few more in the next 6 months but we are still keeping positive.
2020 (as cheesy as this sounds) was a massive year of reflection, we found out what was important to us as a family and business, we learned to slow down, not worry too much and most importantly, enjoy our time together. We were a wedding client once, we’ve been through the 7-year itch and like most, we’ve been locked inside with each other for nearly 12 months, we’ll be OK 🙂
If any of our Brides & Grooms need any assistance during these weird and silly times, please don’t be afraid to reach out. We are really looking forward to a time when we can share the Happy Days with our clients but for now, thanks for reading
Just on the cusp of ‘You Know What’, Elisa & Aaron celebrated their beautiful wedding and what an amazing day it was. We started off early at Middleton Lodge and although she had a few nerves on our arrival, the BONKERS BRIDESMAIDS managed to keep Elisa calm all the way through the bridal prep’s with Kathryn Farington MUA and Elisa Grace Hair working their magic. Aaron arrived with the boys to finish off the last parts to his speech and share a few drinks before setting off to the church to await his bride’s arrival.

The ceremony was so much fun to watch, lots of loud singing from both the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids and their son George adding a few well timed drops and yawns for comedy effect. Arriving back at Middleton Lodge we were lucky enough to enjoy some welcome March sun after a very rocky start to 2020 and our wedding buddy Sam Fitton Magician was on double duties as Host and one half of the Best Men team who performed a hilarious song at the end of their speech and let’s face it, if you have Chewbacca involved in your speech, YOU’VE NAILED IT!
Hot couple, great weather, gorgeous venue, amazing crowd topped off with one of our favorite bands the Warning Tones, what a superb day to be part of! Congratulations guys, lots of love x R & L Middleton Lodge Wedding Films
Meet Gina & Jack, a Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, D.C loving cute couple who invited us to a barn for a party.
So how did we meet these two, well it was a Sunday evening in August, myself and Lisa were sat on the decking finishing off our wine and a message came through on Instagram basically saying “Our wedding is in 4 months, we had not considered a videographer, are you free”. After and hour of getting to know each other, comparing dog photos they decided to invite us a long to their amazing wedding at Bashall Barn. Oh we had sooooo much fun with The Gorrells & Nelsons, they do like to party and we absolutely loved the movie inspired deco. G + J Assembled a stellar #WeTeam including Daisy Chain Photography, Chris from DFC Lancashire, Lucie MUA, Wedlocks, Brides Little Helper, Sam Williams Flowers, Polka Pops, Brides at Charnock Farm, Designed by Natalie.
Congratulations to you both and thank you for making us feel so welcome, R + L XXX Bashall Barn Weddings
“We have received and watched our video. I can’t express how grateful I am to you. Your hard work and creativity has captured the day so perfectly. You have done an incredible job and we are both delighted with it. Thank you so so much!”
Once again this just goes to show that the British weather does not make one difference to the enjoyment of any wedding day.
It’s fair to say that myself and Damian Brandon Photography had a blast with Bridie, Simon and all their guests. From the relaxed vibe at the bridal preps, the beautiful ceremony, very cool reception at Styal Lodge all the way through to the dance floor action with Sax Every Weekend & The Provocateurs it was all just so much fun to film. The more weddings we are involved in, the smaller the world seems to get as it was pointed out by Bridie that she had seen us only weeks earlier at Sophie & Andys Big Day which i think she makes a very brief appearance in.
What a lovely, fun and action packed day Olivia & Liam had for their wedding and once again they assembled a great #WedTeam including Kerry Woods Photography, Paul Guard, DJ Gary Mills, Bec&Co amongst many others who were all on top form. Thank you for both inviting and making us feel so welcome, congratulations X
P.S who would have thought we’d run into you on the way to your honeymoon 🙂 Yorkshire Wedding Films
