“It’s flawless, loved re living the day some of your best material

yet, wouldn’t change anything your sir have done us proud thank you”

Matt

Why did you choose The Shireburne Arms & St Peters Church?

We picked the Shireburn because we loved the laid back vibe of it, the location within the ribble valley with the views & we thought it suited our theme of a rustic winter wonderland perfectly. We also fell in love with Sarah & the staff at the Shireburn who were super helpful & made the whole process really easy. The food is also amazing there too.

St. Peter’s was the closest Catholic Church to the Shireburn & was the most beautiful church we had seen. The drive up to Stonyhurst is so beautiful and Matt had worked their at the beginning of his career too & he had loved it so we thought it would be perfect. We thought the pictures would be lovely too.

What made you want to have a wedding video?

We definitely wanted a wedding video to capture every moment of the day. It goes so fast & there’s so much going on that we didn’t want to miss a second. We also wanted to be able to look back on it & watch the day over & over again.

Do you have a favourite memory form the whole wedding experience?

The whole day was just amazing. Favourite memories are walking into the church & seeing everyone & seeing Matts face. The speeches which were fab. Just having everyone around us there to celebrate with us. We loved every second of it. Seeing the room for me was also a highlight because it was perfect, exactly how I imagined it would look & more. It was the perfect setting for the perfect day.

What kind of day did you want to give your guests?

We wanted guests to feel comfortable, relaxed & chilled. We didn’t want anyone to feel like they were on their best behavior. We just wanted it to be really relaxed & for everyone to have the best time with lots of food, drink & dancing 🕺

Chrissie & Ben: Weddings at Heaton House Farm

“Absolute masterpiece mate! Loved it so much and can’t wait to share” – Ben Langstreth (Groomy)

Why did you choose Heaton House Farm as your wedding venue?

The moment we walked into Heaton House we fell in love. The set up, the aspect, the whole family feel gave it a pull over anything we had seen… and we saw a fair few. The views speak for themselves, incredible and the added bonus of having our nearest and dearest able to stay on site to debrief over a classic English breakfast the next morning. We knew from deal with the Heaton House Farm team they would be a well oiled machine… and they delivered.

Why did you pick us to create your wedding film?
From one short conversation at a Heaton House Farm event where you discussed your own proposal we loved your character and enthusiasm. We knew instantly you would bring this to the video and be able to bring our special day back to life in the best manner. The interviews of course were just a genius bonus!

Tell us about the proposal?
It was a standard Friday (as far as Chrissie was concerned) and as per usual Chrissie was late leaving work. I had planned the day all out, having the ring delivered by Amy and having our new sofas delivered as a surprise. I did not account for Chrissie being one and half hours late Coming  home. Having paced the floor for all this time and not eating anything, she eventually arrived home and kept me waiting even longer while she finished her phone call. She did however notice something odd. I was in my best shirt! And there were the logos Of my parents dancing school where she trained growing up and at the swimming club where we swam together.
She came to the door and the tears instantly began (both of us)
The boodles pink ribbon created a time line of our time together from the menu of our first date, to pictures all up the walls of days out, to the match day ticket of when I asked her dad. This took us to the bedroom where some of her favourite things were placed, then I stopped to one knee and could only get out the words “well will you”. She did say yes and I re enacted since.
The sofa was no longer an important part of the surprise but was a great place to chat about the build up.

What experience do you want to give to your guests?

A relaxed environment where they could enjoy the venue and each other’s company so we could see smiling faces.

Rosie & Richard: Weddings at Thornton Manor

manchester-wedding-video

After 1 meeting in a coffee shop in Bolton, we knew right then that this wedding was gonna be a whole lot of fun!

We had a very early start jumping between Thornton Manor & Thornton Hall with Andy Keher during the Bridal & Groom preparations, Qube Events put their final touches to the ceremony area whilst Piano Daisy had a little practice with one of Rosie’s Bridesmaids.

Sunshine & Planes filled the sky after the ceremony and after an extremely competitive ‘Throwing of the Bouquet’ everyone headed inside for a mad party thanks to the guys at Six15 Events.

Such a great way to end the summer, thanks for inviting us Mr & Mrs C x

Barbz & Biscuit (Hayley & Pete): Weddings at The Belle Epoque, Knutsford

wedding-video-cheshire

Oh we did enjoy the wedding of Barbz & Biscuit (the video should slightly explain the names), we had such a great day with ‘The Nelsons’ and their family 🙂

The ceremony and reception all took place at The Belle Epoque in the centre of Knutsford, a great boutique wedding venue which myself and Lisa were so looking forward to filming at as it was a new venue for us (apart from the odd social doo that is) and it did not disappoint.
The Bride arrived in her Grooms lovingly restored Ford Escort on busy and bright Saturday in July while Pete (Ginger Monkey Biscuit) and the guests were seated upstairs waiting for the star of the show.

After a lovely ceremony we took the newlyweds out with their photographers Pixies in the Cellar for a relaxed walk around town, it’s so nice to see a Bride & Groom mixing in with the public on their wedding, lots of clapping and cheering from cars and pedestrians always adds to the fun.

Congratulations Hayley & Peter, thank you for making us feel so welcome x

Wedding Entertainment

wedding-music-manchester

The venue is booked, the dress has been chosen and as Han Solo once said “This is where the fun begins”

There is so much to think about for your BIG DAY and besides choosing a great videographer to make sure all the sights and sounds of your wedding are covered (BIG WINK), one of the most memorable bookings you will make is your entertainment! One worry that anyone organizing any event is, are their guests going to enjoy themselves? Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, corporate event or wedding, you want to see big smiles, laughter, singing and cheering and this is what we are going to concentrate on in today’s blog.

Let’s start with DJ’s

We are always keen to get to know our Brides & Grooms before the wedding because we can be there for up to 12 hours on a shoot and we want them to be comfortable having us around, the same goes with the photographer and your DJ. You have given responsibility to 1 person (sometimes more) to entertain your guests for an entire evening and that’s not easy. When you pick a DJ, pick one with personality and style, this person has to please that guest who likes The Killers but can’t stand Take That, the guest who insists the brides choice of music is rubbish and wants a little more 90’s House. A DJ is almost like your personal assistant for the dance floor, get to know them well and they’ll mix (no pun intended) really well with your family and friends and create an awesome party.

A good place to start is with DFC who you can see in the video below or ‘multi award-winning’ Andy Murphy DJ (he will hate me saying that)

Here you can see a short ‘Day in the Life’ from a DFC wedding

Here you can see some great DJ & guest interaction from the guys mentioned above.

Wedding Singers

Most of the wedding singers we have worked with over the years have also taken a role as host for the day which works really well and ensures a smooth running of your reception and meal. One of our favourite singers in the North West is Paul Guard who you can see in action below.

Great wedding singers such as Paul, Howard Wing, Alex Birtwell (below) and Wayne Farrow can really transform your wedding reception into an amazing party, guests will be dancing on chairs, throwing napkins in the air and dancing The Conga even before dessert is served.

DFC who we mentioned earlier and agencies such as Love Music , Bandtube  & Six15 Events can also provide you with many different types of musical acts, below you can see a short video from a gig we shot with The Rush who are one of the biggest weddings bands in the North West

Here is a quick clip from a wedding we shot with The Rush, WE LOVE the Sax on this one!

The Bride decides to join Gavin on the microphone, PRICELESS!

We mentioned earlier that it’s a good idea to get to know some of your wedding team and the same applies to your band. Take at least one night out with friends and see them at one of their gigs, you will have a great night and it will make you and your friends even more excited for the dance floor, we visited The Deadbeats at one of their amazing sets in the summer and had an absolute blast.

Here is a short video from one of the DFC open nights which showcased their acts to future Brides & Grooms

There are also the solo artists who can provide a romantic atmosphere during the ceremony or early drinks reception like Liz Hendry or Piano Daisy who we recently filmed below.

Laura James who just sounds frickin awesome!!!

and Al Sax who is perfect for an evening reception.

Magicians

MAGIC IS BACK!
Every wedding were there is a magician, we know there are going to be plenty of gasps, shocked faces and laughter from all who are involved. A modern magician such as Jason Rea, Sam Fitton, Chris Hurst or Darren Robinson bring a lot of comedy into their act and it is genuinely so good to watch the guest reactions as the illusions are happening.

A great time for magic is during the early drinks reception or as your guests arrive for the evening party.

There is so much to choose from when looking for wedding entertainment, photobooths, casino tables, dancers, live acts, party games and so on, we even had a dance booth ourselves for 1 wedding which you can see below.

Decide what would make your wedding into awesome day that no one will forget, speak to the people you are booking and let them know what you would like from them, they will appreciate the input from you. From personal experience, when we leave a wedding during a loud and mad party we know it has been an amazing day and we have captured terrific footage of you and your guests having the time of your life.

Finally, here are 2 examples from weddings we have shot this year, both featuring entertainment which guaranteed a packed dance floor and happy guests!
