Mags & Floyd: Weddings at Broughton Hall

Mr & Mrs Draper enjoyed an exceptional day in the sun at Broughton Hall in July and here is the proof!

Mags & Floyd first contacted us after seeing one of our earlier films shot at this venue which helped her decide this was the perfect place for her and lucky for us she wanted the same video crew πŸ™‚

2-3 months leading up the wedding we joked that because it was on my birthday the celebration was really for me and not their marriage, Mags being the cheeky bride she is actually challenged me during her speech and i received a birthday cake and son-a-long from Paul Guard and their guests and i also had to deliver a speech, i think i just got away with it!

An early start in the West Yorkshire countryside for Lisa & Myself, we both jumped in between Bride & Groom preparations before a short drive to the church and then all back for a big party in the glorious sunshine. The Draper’s put together a great team for their wedding including Jason Rea Magic, Victor Trusch, Fusion Flower & Yorkshire Bar Company, such a great day with a lovely couple who we had lots of fun with.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs D x

Inn at Whitewell Weddings: Rebecca & Tom

Rebecca & Tom’s wedding ceremony has to be one of the best services we have filmed in a long time. Largely thanks to the Priest at All Saints Church in Hesketh Bank, an extremely welcoming man who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Ward (Father of the Bride) personally thanked him in front of the guests just before the happy couple walked down the aisle together.

The day started with ‘That Fine Rain’ as me and Lisa started filming the Bridal Prep’s at Rebecca’s parents home which was just round the corner from the church. Jason from Flower Design spent time with the bridesmaids explaining how to hold the bouquets correctly, I think it has something to do with fertility from what he was saying, it went way over my head but sounded very interesting to the girls. Ward showed us the tandem he had made as a gift to his daughter and future son in law which I quickly had to run out and film before he cycled it to the church. Thanks to the extremely talented Lottie Designs for the photograph πŸ™‚
Tom broke the ice as you will have seen in the clip with a very eager ‘I Will’. As soon as he said it I knew I had the start of their film!
The Inn at Whitewell hosted the reception, with Howard Wing entertaining guests throughout the wedding breakfast and into the evening reception which ended for us with the new Mr & Mrs Harrison being drowned by confetti on the Β dance floor.

A fabulous wedding, never dampened by the drizzle. Congratulations to you both, Ro & Lisa x

We have now watched the video and it’s fabulous. We love it & we are so so happy we have it for the memory box!! I think it might be on repeat for quite sometime though initially!!!

Thanks once again for your help. Can’t believe it was a month ago tomorrow!!

Take care

Tom & Rebecca xx

A very foggy day for our first wedding of 2017….

Youtube Version

Jono, Charli and the kids flew all the way from Canada for their big day at Charnock FarmΒ last month and although we had some pretty grey weather, the wedding was so much fun to shoot.

A bit of a warning for anyone delivering a Best Man’s speech, make sure your story is suitable for the crowd you are telling it to, Jimmy realized this half way through his speech and had to quickly cut it short, it was still funny though πŸ™‚

Thanks to Mr & Mrs Pearson for having us on their very special day, you both looked amazing, Ro & Lisa x

T’was the Eve of Christmas Eve…

Youtube Version

Alexa arrived at St Peters Church with Bab’s (Hurricane Barbara) and was completely un-phased by anything that was thrown at her (SuperBride).

A wonderful festive ceremony followed filled with Christmas Carols, an interesting prayer by Andrew which me and David Scholes (thanks for the Scones) had a ball photographing/filming.

Jason from Flower Design did an amazing job at the church and also The Inn at Whitewell with all the candles & flowers which added to the warm, winter feel, this really did get me in the mood as it was my last job before all the Turkey, Wine & Chocolate πŸ™‚

A few personal highlights, David’s philosophy on ‘Falling in Love’ in his speech, this man did his research. The Best Mans speech, comedy gold.

A cracking day to finish off 2016, thanks for having us on your BIG DAY πŸ™‚

What a laugh we had with Mr & Mrs B πŸ™‚

Once we found out that Ash is a huuugggee Friends fan, all the old catchphrases came out which had us in stitches during the Portrait session with Nick English Photography (great working with you buddy)

The party at Stanley House kicked off early thanks to The Best Singing Waiters who entertained their guests from the meal until the evening reception, watching these guys really confirms to me how important it is to have good entertainment on your BIG DAY πŸ™‚
What a fantastic couple to spend the day with, Congratulations Mr & Mrs Boyce, thanks for having me x

Stephen & Lorraine: Wedding Videography at The Villa, Wrea Green.

Stephen & Lorraine’s Big Day took place at The Villa, Wrea Green and it was my first time shooting a Wedding there, big thumbs up for anyone considering it…

I started very early at the Bridal preperations to capture all the pre-wedding fun with the girls and as the ceremony got closer, Lorraine began to feel the nerves taking over but she was not alone with this as i know Stephen and his Best Man were not looking forward to the speeches at all!

This was my second time shooting with Paul Kelly, really enjoyed working alongside him for this one (again we sounded like a bunch of camera nerds on our break)

A wonderful day for everyone involved, cogratulations to Mr & Mrs Blackett.

thanks for reading, RTP x
